A hole under a house is just that. Unless you have vision. And that is exactly what one client in Paso Robles had for this hole under their home on a hill.
Even though this home had been recently built by the previous owner, it did not maximize the amount of space available. These clients needed a space for their family to stay when they came to visit.
Once this had been done, we had to build a new retaining wall which became the back wall of the bedroom addition.
Here are several short videos tracking the progress of this project.
Once the excavation and foundation were completed this project wrapped up quickly.
In the bathroom this client chose a floating vanity which made sweeping a breeze. The light and bright tile she went with reflects the light and makes the space cheery and welcoming.
To add as much light as possible to this basement addition, we added two large windows with extra deep sills. The client was quite pleased with these deep sills as one of her favorite memories as a child was reading books in her grandmother’s window seat.
What started as a hole ended being the perfect place. for extended family. This Paso Robles addition was a major success and the client is very pleased with how her dream came to fruition. Family has already stayed over and everyone had their own space. What started as a hole ended being the perfect space for extended family.
