Barn ADU Conversion

It is becoming increasingly popular to convert barns and storage above garages into Additional Dwelling Units. Utilizing this space for passive income is one of the least expensive ADU paths as there is often no structural or foundation work required. Shown below is the conversion of the attic space above a garage in a classic Dunn Barn. In this case we decided to use dormers to create 8′ ceiling heights in the bedrooms and bathroom.
