A Modern Look For A Vintage Kitchen

A Playful Reflection Of Their Style

Custom Solid Birch Cabinets

A kitchen is often the heart of the home, and this 50’s kitchen did not reflect the heart of these homeowners. It was a tiny space with structural limitations due to the age of the home (aka, no walls or beams could be moved without blowing the budget). Because of this, we opted for fully custom cabinets so we could maximize storage. We also extended the cabinets on the sink wall all the way to the exterior door providing space for an under-counter wine fridge.

Bright wallpaper with all white appliances.

The clients opted for solid birch cabinets with a modern door panel to bring the kitchen into the 21st century. Black and white patterned tile gives a nod to the traditional 50’s kitchen floors while still staying modern. Bright wallpaper, white appliances, and red pans complete this playful kitchen. A true reflection of these clients.
